Important Dates & Information
NEW BAT RULES - Will be enforced in Babe Ruth May 22nd
Babe Ruth (age as of April 30th)
1-7 inning game
3 inning Pitching limit per night
Time Limit - Can't Start inning after 2 hours from start time
Pickup Players - Teams will be allowed to pickup players if there teams are short, it has to be of like ability of the missing player. Playoffs - if temas need to pick up players during playoffs they need to be approved by league corrdinator.
No Substitution Rule
If a Team is short players, they will be allowed to pickup a player or players from another team. The coaches need to get league approval for pickup players.
Tournament Team Information
- If you try out for a all-star team, that tells us that you are willing to make the monetary and time commitment to the team. You will be committed to the entire tournaments schedule especially state tournament. If you cannot make any of the tournaments scheduled you need approval of the coaching staff before the season starts.
Important thing to remember is , just because you made it last year does not mean you are guaranteed a spot on the team this year.
- The teams are selected in a couple ways.
1-The try outs are a small part of the process.
2-We have been watching the kids since the beginning of April at Gambucci.
3-We will watch them at the first 2 weeks of league and see how they perform.
We pick kids on ability, attitude and the willingness to listen to the coaches. These teams are put together to be competitive, there is no promise of playing time, especially when it come to the state tournament.
Fees will range from $150 to $250 depending on tournament schedule and uniforms.
